Akatsuki room/Yoi room (Mori no Yu area guests only)

Leisure away some time in this 11m2 private room for ¥5,000/day per room (in addition to Mori no Yu area admission fee). It’s open from 11am to 8pm.

The Hakone Kowakien Hotel was first opened in 1959, and was reopened in July of 2023 following its rebuilding.
Carrying on the proud name of the Hakone Kowakien Hotel, the hotel can be enjoyed together with Yunessun, which has also been renovated to provide guests with an even more satisfying stay.

Relax and unwind in one of 13 comfortable Japanese rooms and enjoy the public bath or free-flowing open-air hot springs. No restaurant is provided, but the hotel serves a complimentary breakfast with coffee and bread. You can walk to the hotel from Yunessun in 10 minutes.

Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu

All 150 rooms in this large ryokan include a luxurious free-flowing open-air bath. Fine Japanese restaurants serving teppan-yaki, shabu-shabu and other traditional dishes heighten the pleasure of your stay. The ryokan is 5 minutes on foot from Yunessun. A shuttle bus is also available.
There is a connecting passage between Ten-yu and Yunessun.
